Microsoft offered $80 billion for Yahoo!
I found this rumor on the LA Times that Microsoft offered $80 billion for Yahoo but Yahoo rejected bid as too low. Try a minute to incarnating the face of a monster with the name of Microsoft which inserted with Yahoo!

I actually don't believe it, mainly due to their recent "article" about Google coming out with their own OS (http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-predict1jan01,0,3503327.story).
I just don't think MS would pay 80 billion for anything the could do on their own. If it is true, I don't blame Y! for not selling to Microsoft.

Yes!
I'm agree with Jayson.
And don't forget that MS is the best :D

I agree with Reza on opening links in new windows...while it may not comply with XHTML, it keeps focus on your site after the user is done reading the link (and perhaps have gone off to visit other links from that page).
MS being "the best" in the search realm is arguable; they certainly would have a compelling reason to purchase technology similar to Y!, but most definitely NOT for 80 billion, which is why I feel the article was not true. They already purchased a search company recently (Lookoutsoft.com) which is what they built their MSN desktop search off of. I don't recall the price, but I'm sure it was much less than 80b ;-).
